NPO organized Trade Fair & Mega Exhibition in Multan

MULTAN: National Productivity organization in collaboration with Multan chamber of Commerce and industry conducted a three day Trade Fair & Mega Exhibition funded by USAID. The basic purpose of 'Trade Fair & Mega Exhibition' was to eliminate the role of Middle Man to maximize the profit ratio, secondly the most important objective of the event was to divert the anti-social behaviour prevailing among youth to growth oriented behaviour by providing a platform to young entrepreneurs and motivating them to work and not become terrorist. Thirdly to display the specialities of four districts of south Punjab.

NPO Multan team consisted of 7 members including Mr. Ali Ahsan (Team Leader), Mr. Sadaruddin Gilani , Ms. Sadaf Shahbaz , Ms.Sana Irum Naz, Mr. Muhammad Junaid Malik , Mr. Ahmad Nawaz and Mr. Fayyaz Ahmad . NPO Team searched several districts including Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Muzafargarh and Multan to find the untapped talented craftsmen of Pakistan that were unseen and residing in villages. More than 120 entrepreneurs from 4 districts were gathered at single mega platform. Beneficiaries were provided free of cost stalls, accommodation, lunch/dinner, boarding and logging, transportation from and to their districts etc. Three day event was held at Sports Ground Multan .Many Business man, industrialists Executive Members, Presidents, sectaries and members of different Chambers were invited to join Trade Fair and Mega Exhibition. President Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Muhammad Khan Saddozai inaugurated the event on 30 August, 2013.He visited each stalls and appreciated the entrepreneurs for their hard work. Former CEO National Productivity Organization Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Yusuf saw handicrafts of young entrepreneurs and acknowledged them. He visited each stall of fair and appreciated their efforts. At second day of Exhibition Mr. Rafeeq Rajwana (Senator) inaugurated the event .Guests and beneficiaries were contented with the efforts of National Productivity Organization. On last day of the Trade Fair Regional Police Officer Mr. Malik Muhammad Ameen Wains (RPO) inaugurated the Trade Fair and visited the Exhibition and accredited the work of National Productivity Organization and USAID for bringing the entrepreneurs of south Punjab to this mega platform.

At last day of event closing ceremony was held .Many dignitaries were present at that ceremony .They awarded Appreciation Shields to Participants of 'Trade Fair & Mega Exhibition' and appreciated their work.

During festivity singers sung song and amused the audience, children played at children corner. Different varieties of food were offered at festivity. Complete family environment was provided to the people of south Punjab. It was first time that Air conditioned setup was installed in history of Multan. Event turned to be very successful as beneficiaries had maximum sales, made contacts, took orders for future business. It was estimated that more than 250000 visitors were present in three days of Trade Fair & Mega Exhibition.
