  • National Productivity Organization (NPO) has successfully completed 4 teaser events under the International Finance Corporation Business Edge project of 2016.

    National Productivity Organization (NPO) has successfully completed 4 Teaser events under the International Finance Corporation (member of the World Bank Group) Business Edge® project of 2016. Total 172 persons are trained through these programs. Business Edge® is proprietary training product of International Finance Corporation (IFC). IFC has developed 53 training modules in various disciplines including Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Financial, Management and Accounting, General and Operations Management, Personal Productivity Skills and Tourism and Sector Specific Management of Accommodation Services. The modules are specially designed to train SMEs and MSMEs and all of the modules are also translated into Urdu Language. Whereas about 40 modules are also been translated into Pashto language.

    Detail of the events is as following:

    Event-1:
    One day teaser training program on “Achieving Success in Marketing” was organized on 30th April 2016 at Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI). Mr. Tariq Khan, Vice President, MCCI and Mr. Khurrum Shehzad, Secretary General, MCCI were also present at the occasion. While talking to the representatives of print media they appreciated the efforts of IFC and NPO for arranging the training for the business community of Multan. The training session was attended by 71 participants from various industries.

     

    Event-2:
    One day teaser training program on “Controlling Costs” was organized on 19thMay 2016 at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI). Maj (R) Mansoor Ahmad, President, SCCI and Mr. Ahtasham Mazhar, Vice President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industrywere present at the occasion. They highlighted the important role of the IFC in the development of SMEs in Pakistan and requested IFC to start a series of training programs for business community of Sialkot.The training session was attended by 41 participants from various industries.

     

    Event-3:
    One day teaser training program on “Achieving Success in Marketing” was organized on 25thMay 2016 at Hyderabad. The training session was attended by 25 participants from SME’s.

     

    Event-4:
    One day teaser training program on “Saving Cost in the Accommodation Business” was organized for Naran Hotels Association on 30thMay 2016 at Naran. Seth Mattiullah, President,Naran Hotels Association praised the initiative of NPO and IFC for organizing the training at Naran and highlighted that such training is organized for the first time in the history of Naran. He said that government should focus on the development of tourism in the Naran/Kaghan and provide basic facilities for the local community. The training session was attended by 35 participants from various hotels of Naran.
